Holly offers 8 unique H.o.W. Workshops to get you on the track of increasing

your design profitability through visual communication.

 

 

BEGINNING WORKSHOPS

​

•        Visual Communication for Interior Design                                                     $998.00

This four-day workshop introduces different drawing techniques for visual communication.  Emphasis is placed on hand drafting for standard space planning, drawing floor plans, two-dimensional elevations, three-dimensional perspectives and color rendering using markers, colored pencils, and different media.  

 

Please note you will need to purchase supplies prior to the beginning of class.

 

 

•        Introduction to Interior Design                                                                       $750.00

This three-day workshop introduces the fundamentals of Interior Design.  Learn the founding principles and elements of design, space planning, developing color schemes, style and putting it all together.  Upon completion you should be able to redesign an interior of your choice. 

 

Please note you will need to purchase supplies and complete an “assignment” prior to the beginning of class.

 

 

•         Computer Aided Drafting                                                                              $998.00

This four-day workshop introduces basic drawing and editing commands in AutoCAD 2017.  Learn how to develop floorplans, simple elevations, dimension drawings, set text and layers.  We will create custom title blocks for your company and lay out drawings format drawings in various scales.

 

Please note you will need to bring a personal laptop and download a free 30-day trial version of AutoCAD 2017 before beginning of class.

 

 

•         Drawing Interiors in 3-D with Sketch-up                                                        $998.00

This four-day workshop introduces 3-d modeling commands using Sketch-up 2017.  Learn how to import floorplans, create materials, edit furniture components, set scenes, and develop one and two point scenes. 

 

Please note you will need to bring a personal laptop and download a free 30-day trial version of 2017 Sketch-up Pro before beginning of class.

 

 

ADVANCED WORKSHOPS    

 

• Creating Fabric, Patterns, and Personalized Designs using Illustrator          $750.00

This three-day course introduces basic drawing and editing tools for illustrator.  Learn commands to develop a unique fabric designs using the pen tool, shape tools, image trace, make pattern, and adjusting colors.  By the end of class, you should have several designs that could be made into printed fabric. 

 

Please note you will need to bring a personal laptop and download a free 30-day trial of Adobe Cloud 2017 prior to the beginning of class.

 

 

•      Drawing Artistic 3-D Interiors                                                                               $750.00

This three-day course expands upon sketch-up basics to create drawing styles for an artistic look.  Color render the interior using Photoshop to bring in lighting, accessories, and entourage.  Learn to change perspective, create light and shadows and other techniques to give your interior a hand-drawn look.   This class is ideal for those who have a baseline of sketch-up, but want to expand their drawing knowledge.

•         Drawing Photo-Realistic Interiors                                                                   $750.00

This three-day course expands upon sketch-up to create photo-realistic drawing style.  Color render the interior using Podium and Photoshop to create light, shadows, reflections, and transparencies to give you interior a photo-look.   This class is ideal for those who have a good baseline of sketch-up, but want to expand their drawing knowledge.

•      Getting Noticed.  Developing a Marketing Package                                        $998.00

This four-day course covers methods for creating a branded image and marketing materials for printed and digital media.  Communicate your design ideas through self-promotion and in an organized manner.  Learn to create a logo, business cards, basic portfolio layout and options to presenting materials via web and traditional methods of presentation.  Learn how to market your services via social media and various marketing outlets.
